On Friday night, 30 Khordad (20 June), anti-regime slogans echoed through Tehran:
Death to the dictator, death to Khamenei, death to the IRGC, death to Khamenei the murderer.
These chants and the grassroots mobilisation behind them clearly show that society understands the gravity of the moment and, as always, recognises its enemy. Alongside these slogans, it must also be made known globally that this dire crisis and its bombardments will only end with the downfall of this war-mongering regime.
Our movement—the people’s movement—continues under the core slogan of Women, Life, Freedom, which captures the aspirations and demands of Iranian society in the eyes of the world. The slogan “There is nothing but the overthrow of the war-mongering Islamic Republic” expresses the essence of our revolutionary struggle. This regime, overwhelmed by its own crisis, is now at the height of vulnerability. We must escalate our efforts simultaneously, and clarify the paths to resisting this Islamic regime under current conditions.
The revolutionary Women, Life, Freedom movement can, despite the war-like conditions severely affecting people’s lives, strike a decisive and final blow to the Islamic Republic.
This regime of poverty, corruption, and plunder; this regime of mass killings of Iranians; this regime organising Islamic terrorism—must be toppled without delay, so that the people of Iran, and the region, and the world, can finally breathe.
