Funeral Parades Scheduled for Next Saturday-By Journal-27 June 2025

“The funeral for Mohammad Saeed Izadi and other military commanders killed in Tehran will be held next Saturday,” the government’s communications council has announced, issuing a public call for mass attendance.
Apparently, fear has no place in the vocabulary of the regime’s leaders and surviving commanders. Now, after the “severe defeat” they claim to have inflicted on Israel—and in Khamenei’s words, “Israel was crushed”—they are summoning the people with full force to bid farewell to their dead with prayer and blessings. To send them off to the afterlife—where former commanders like Qassem Soleimani and dozens of other regime casualties from Syria are supposedly waiting to welcome them?
One has to ask: at this very public farewell to the regime’s fallen generals, who will lead the funeral prayer? Until now, it has been customary for Khamenei to preside over these ceremonies. But under the current circumstances, what happens? Will the corpses be transported into his cave-like bunker? Or will Mossad, as part of the post-ceasefire arrangement, be instructed not to open fire so that the Supreme Leader can pray and then return to hiding?
The government’s call for people to attend this “graveyard gathering” is farcical. Once again, the regime will bus in rented crowds from across Iran—gather them at the site, chant a few incantations, and quickly disperse them. In a supposed moment of truce, the regime celebrates the honour of being able to recite prayers—of mercy or dread—over its own dead. So much for the regime’s so-called power and authority.
What this spectacle tells us, the people, is simple: we have the power to grow stronger by organising ourselves into resistance groups, networks and popular movements. To reclaim our future, the people of Iran need a revolutionary party—modern, coherent, and with a clear programme. Against the regime’s army of mercenaries, we will bring forth the immense power of a united people. Victory will come through organisation, strength, and arming ourselves politically with that revolutionary force. Let us step forward with purpose.
