The Iranian Revolution and the Netanyahu-Trump Rift- Sina Pedram-10 July 2025

PDF-English Journal-10 July 2025-No20

Sources told Reuters that Netanyahu is displeased with Washington’s decision to resume nuclear talks with Iran, viewing any political or economic opening as a strategic threat. He sees the current moment as a rare opportunity—one in which Iran must be hit hard before it regains strength.

Recent headlines have been dominated by political and strategic rifts between the US and Israel, as well as divisions within their respective ruling coalitions. Meanwhile, confusion reigns among the leaders of the Islamic regime, torn over how to engage the US on nuclear and other issues. On one side, regime figures deny involvement in Trump’s attempted assassination in interviews with Tucker Carlson. On the other, clerics issue shrill fatwas declaring Trump and Netanyahu enemies of Islam, deserving death.

What underlies this chaos—for both the US camp and Iran’s shattered establishment—is the enduring revolutionary spirit of Iranian society. The Woman, Life, Freedom uprising has transformed the nation’s political consciousness. Imposing a regime on Iran from above now seems nearly impossible.

Once the Islamic regime falls, the full potential of humanity in 21st-century Iran will be unleashed. When theocracy crumbles, the most humanistic ideals will finally find fertile ground to grow. In a world where capitalism reels from crisis to crisis, a modern, progressive revolution—grounded in welfare and justice—will find popular support.

The US establishment may take a longer view, cautiously approaching regime change. It knows that the moment Tehran weakens, the Iranian people will advance their revolutionary alternative. A new, modern, humanist revolution in Iran has already thrown regional powers into disarray.
