On 26 September 2025, the Islamic Republic began its day with a bitter defeat and deep in isolation. On this day, the “snapback” mechanism was triggered by the UN Security Council. The regime had refused to accept the conditions of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Khamenei, in a post attributed to his X account, declared: “We did not yield to pressure in this matter, and we never will in any matter.” With such defiance, his so-called strategic policies have only made life ever more hellish for the people, paving the way for mass impoverishment.

Life inside this economic inferno—with the dollar now at 110,000 tomans—is but one consequence of these strategic policies and the return of the snapback. For ordinary people it means survival is being destroyed. For the leadership and the economic pharaohs of the Islamic Republic, however, it has become an economic paradise. The snapback is their celebration: the mafia of plunderers grow rich, their bank accounts swollen from sanctions-busting, dazzling in size. This is no exaggeration—it is the lived reality of a ruling class thriving under the regime’s anti-people and terrorist policies.

In every protest and rally we must raise the voices of children, the elderly, the poor and the destitute—those being crushed beneath the weight of sanctions, their lives cut short. The only path out of this ever-tightening nightmare is the continuation of the revolutionary movement of Woman, Life, Freedom with the aim of overthrowing the Islamic Republic. There is no other prospect for liberation from this hell the regime has created.
