Ali Kord, a member of Parliament’s Social Commission, said: “Although the subsidy amount is small, cutting it can lead to social tension and protest.” He added: “Cutting subsidies is neither appropriate nor ethical, and it will bring protests in its wake and provide fodder for the enemy’s media.”
In what language must the regime say it is ready to retreat out of fear of social protests? In what language must it say that if it cuts subsidies or raises gasoline prices, it must also brace for the risk of an uprising?
Isn’t this a major indication that all of us, the people, should believe even more strongly that the regime’s grandees—from the thieving MPs to the criminals pinned with the medals of executive, legislative, and judicial office—live in constant fear of us? Where does this fear come from? Isn’t it because this criminal lot has witnessed with their own eyes the great dangers threatening the existence of their regime? They have seen that the Woman, Life, Freedom Revolution has opened the gates of hell upon them. They still feel the burning of this revolutionary fire acutely.
If what we have said is not mere sloganeering meant to rile us up or delude ourselves—and if it can be proven with evidence that we, the people, can turn the tide—then we must, through unity, solidarity, the creation of diverse organizations, and with very clear and transparent social demands, wage battle against this anti-life monster.
We are all duty-bound, once and for all, to organize the final struggle for liberation and freedom against the regime through political solidarity, nationwide organizational power, and the choice of a revolutionary political party. The road to a human life will not be paved by increasing subsidies; we will drive on the asphalt highway of freedom by abolishing wage-slavery and establishing political and economic equality for all citizens. Let’s roll up our sleeves for that purpose.
