Gohar Eshghi, mother of the late Sattar Beheshti—killed in prison by the regime’s torturers—released a statement saying: “Ali Khamenei still hasn’t crawled out of his rat hole. Instead, he’s unleashed his rabid dogs to arrest our children for ‘espionage.’” She added, “Whenever Khamenei suffers defeat, he takes revenge on our children.”
Following the Islamic Republic’s crushing defeat in the 12-day war, Eshghi’s words ring out: the regime seeks vengeance—this time against its own people. And the public is united in one clear truth: Khamenei is hiding, terrified. His absence is confirmation that the regime’s top brass are trembling. And when people see this for themselves, the “barking of Khamenei’s dogs” no longer intimidates.
This resilience is evident in the partial re-opening of the internet and the ongoing defiance against the regime. The Iranian people are no longer paralysed by fear.
We must strengthen this struggle with sustained, strategic presence on social media. For every regime ultimatum, there must be a flood of popular resistance—righteous, determined, and visible.
Gohar Eshghi’s only weapon is her fierce, fire-branded voice. This courageous mother appears to stand alone, but her defiance echoes a nationwide resolve. That solidarity fuels her determination to challenge the regime’s brutal machinery with unmatched clarity.
Let us rally behind Gohar—morally and politically. Amplify her every word. Dictatorships thrive on making people feel isolated and powerless. That illusion has already crumbled in Iran. By broadening our presence in social media, we can unleash a tidal wave of outrage and momentum to bring down the Islamic Republic.
