Reformist journalist and regime apologist Mashallah Shamsolvaezin recently said on TV: “The role of the commander-in-chief in war is critical. War is no joke.” He compared Israel’s underground security meetings with Iran’s need to protect its top commander—insisting the latter isn’t cowardice but necessity.
Well, I owe this sycophantic journalist an apology—for the “joke” Israel played on the regime. But these “jokes” are no laughing matter for the people. Israel knew all your military secrets. In just 12 days, it drove you all into the very “mouseholes” Toomaj once advised you to crawl into.
For the people, the war wasn’t a joke. It brought joy only when your idiotic generals were killed. But it was painful when people’s lives were destroyed by your warmongering.
Your leader said, “There will be no war, and no negotiations.” Yet war came, and now you’re begging for talks. Seems like your Supreme Leader was the real joker. No, dear journalist—people weren’t joking with you. They were just laughing at you.
The revolution is no joke. It is deadly serious. It strikes at the root of all misery in Iran: your capitalist-Islamic system.
