Islamic Republic and the Madness of Plunder –Journal-10 July 2025

What we hear from Iran: “My child’s vocational school is demanding seven million tomans [~120 US Dollars] just to issue their final report card—and they’re even refusing to confirm the student has passed. I have no money. What am I supposed to do?”

The vast majority of employees and workers in Iran earn incomes several times below the poverty line. A working-class family of four, if subsisting only on bread and eggs, would spend nearly half of their monthly income. One can only imagine what little remains for housing, medical care, clothing, gas, water, electricity, or even the slightest form of leisure.

We are facing an insatiable monster—the more it devours, the hungrier it grows. This is not mere mismanagement: it’s a full-scale war waged by the Islamic regime against the Iranian people. These are the bombs that fall on civilians daily. The economic blitz is intensifying, battering already-empty dining tables. And the prospect of sheltering oneself from this assault is growing more elusive by the day.

The victims of this war span generations: children, the sick, the elderly, women and youth. In the Islamic Republic’s economic bombardment, retirees are crushed beneath the twin burdens of poverty and corruption. The very emotional and human foundations of society are under siege. But are we merely powerless captives, passively watching the executions and imprisonments of our loved ones, hands raised to the sky, waiting for a saviour from beyond?

No. Absolutely not. We, the people, possess a power capable of shaping a humane society for Iran—one that can radiate its light far beyond our borders. Despite the devastating toll of this brutal class war, we have shown that we can shake the Islamic Republic to its core. But to win, we need national unity—true, collective solidarity. That unity must be built. We are halfway to dismantling this regime. Our goal is to seize the world that lies beyond it.
